The Reto bot is currently in development, and these Terms of Service have yet to be finalised. Please be patient - we may add to this list over time!
The Reto Discord bot is a tool for the Discord application that adds a Karma system that can be operated with Reactables, emojis that perform certain actions when a message is reacted to with them. Along this, the Bot utilizes certain data that is stored from this base functionality to include various other services, such as Leaderboards, Profiles, Discovery, and more.
This Terms of Service policy details the ways that you can utilise the Reto Discord bot, and that it can utilise the content and data it’s given. Whereever applicable, it’s superceded by Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
License to use Reto
Users are given a revokable license to utilise the Reto Discord bot software.
By using Reto, you agree not to exploit Reto vulnerabilities (to, for example, get inflated Karma totals), scrape or otherwise store data from Reto’s internal database, and abide by the rest of these Terms of Service.
Reto Staff reserve the right to terminate the Server or User account of anyone who violates these terms at any time.
Your content
By utilising the Reto Discord bot, you grant its developers a license to store, edit, alter and modify the User, Server and Message data that’s been stored within. You retain full ownership of any text, links, emoji, photos, videos and other media that you have upoaded to the Reto database.
When storing this data, we act in good faith that it belongs to you and does not violate any laws and regulations, and we reject liability for any content stored by users that don’t form part of the Reto development team.
Our content
You may use our software as outlined in these Terms. You may not use our Brand or Trademark without prior written permission, and we retain all intellectual property rights to Reto, Retool, the Reto mascot, the Double Hearts Icon, and the code that comprises the Reto Discord bot, the Reto Legacy Discord bot, and the Reto website.
If you create a tool that is meant to be used alongside Reto, make it clear that you are not affiliated with Reto or the Reto developers. You may use language that implies that the functionality is meant to add to this software (eg. “For Reto”).
Moderation
Content that forms part of a Private Server, or which is sent by an user who has opted out of Global Discovery, is not moderated or viewable by Reto developers.
Users that encounter content through Global Discovery that violates these terms, the Discord Community Guidelines, or any applicable law or regulation can use the 🚩 emoji to report said content. If the message is found to be in violation of the Reto Terms of Service or Discord Community Guidelines, the message will be removed from the Global Discovery pool.
Termination
You can stop using the Reto Discord bot at any time by removing it from the Servers you are in. We may continue storing your data, such as User and Message information, after the fact. If you wish to delete this information from Reto altogether, you can use the /privacy personal delete to do so. Read more about this on Reto’s Privacy Policy.
